New Delhi, May 28 (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, along with several Union ministers and other leaders, extended greetings to members of the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on Thursday.

In a post on X, President Murmu wrote, “On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all fellow citizens, especially my Muslim brothers and sisters. This festival symbolises dedication, sacrifice, and devotion. It inspires us to serve humanity, particularly the underprivileged sections of society. Let us move forward with greater commitment to spreading love and harmony in society on this occasion.”

Vice President Radhakrishnan said that the sacred occasion should bring peace, happiness, and goodwill to all. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the joyous occasion should usher in peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness for everyone, while further strengthening the spirit of brotherhood, harmony, and unity in society.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that the holy occasion should inspire unity, compassion, and joy, and bring good health, prosperity, and continued success to every heart. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that the festival should bring compassion, harmony, and peace into everyone’s lives.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that Eid-ul-Adha reflects timeless values such as sacrifice, faith, compassion, and forgiveness. He added that the sacred occasion should inspire people to work together to deepen the spirit of brotherhood and strengthen the bonds of unity.

Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that on this sacred occasion, hearts should be filled with gratitude and homes should be blessed with love, laughter, peace, and happiness. Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed hope that peace, love, and brotherhood would always prevail across the country.
