New Delhi, May 28 (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday carried out a major organisational reshuffle by appointing new state presidents in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Tripura. According to an official statement issued by the party, all appointments have come into effect immediately.

The BJP has appointed Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra as the new president of the Delhi BJP unit. Meanwhile, in Haryana, senior woman leader Archana Gupta has been entrusted with the responsibility of state president.

Keeping in view the Assembly elections scheduled for next year, the BJP has also made organisational changes in Punjab. The party has appointed Keval Singh Dhillon as the president of the Punjab BJP unit. In addition, BJP MLA Abhishek Debroy has been appointed as the new state president of Tripura.

In its official statement, the BJP said that the appointments were approved by party national president Nitin Navin. The party leadership believes that the newly appointed state presidents will play a crucial role in strengthening the organisation and ensuring improved performance in the upcoming elections.
