Guwahati, 25 May (HS): The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill is set to be introduced in the Assam Legislative Assembly on the third day of the ongoing session on Monday. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is expected to table the “Uniform Civil Code Assam Bill” in the House.

Alongside the UCC Bill, Minister Ajanta Neog is likely to present a resolution proposal related to the Women Harassment Prevention Act in the Assembly.

The House is also expected to discuss and move a resolution regarding 33% reservation for women. The developments are being closely watched as the Assembly session continues with several key legislative matters on the agenda.-----------
