Mumbai, 14 May (HS):

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis entered the Vidhan Bhavan riding a

motorcycle on Thursday to attend the oath taking ceremony of newly elected

MLCs. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to save fuel, many ministers

have reduced number of vehicles in their convoys.

Fadnavis was accompanied by Minister for Cultural

Affairs Ashish Shelar. Another minister Nitesh Rane preferred to walk down for

the ministers’ meeting. Fadnavis on Wednesday announced steps to curtail

expenses on various items including foreign tours of ministers and government

officials and number of vehicles.
