Noida,

13 May (HS): Police in Noida slapped the National Security Act against two

suspects on Wednesday in connection with the labor unrest and violent

demonstrations that occurred on April 13, according to authorities. According

to a police statement, Satyam Verma and Akriti, who were described as active

members of the 'Mazdoor Bigul Dasta', were targeted.

According

to authorities, many complaints were filed at various police stations around

the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate in response to incidences of violence,

burning, and suspected provocative actions during a labour sit-in protest last

month. Police said that the two suspects had a big part in the violent

demonstrations and the spread of disturbance across the city.

They

sought to disturb public order by instigating people in various sections of the

Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate, according to the statement, which added

that the National Security Act had been invoked. Police also stated that

anti-social elements involved in promoting disorder and rumors in the

commissionerate region will be found and prosecuted harshly. The Police

Commissionerate of Gautam Buddh Nagar is still completely dedicated to

maintaining peace, security, and public convenience, according to the

statement.
