Lucknow, 12 May
(HS): On International Nurses Day 2026, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath underlines the critical importance of nurses in healthcare and
highlights the global need for Indian nursing specialists. He had already
reinforced the sector through Mission Niramaya and other
initiatives, such as issuing 1,228 appointment letters to new nursing officers.
Addressing a March
2026 event, CM Yogi stated that Indian nurses are in high demand in countries
such as Japan, Germany, and Korea owing to their compassionate care. He has
prioritized the state's health infrastructure, frequently distributing
appointment letters to hundreds of nursing officers, including over 1,200 in a
recent campaign. Yogi sees nursing as a noble vocation of service and
compassion, with a direct relationship to patient rehabilitation.
In a post on X, he
mentioned, “'Nurses', the living embodiment of
service, empathy, and dedication, are the strong cornerstone of the healthcare
system. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all nursing staff on
International Nurses Day. Even in adverse circumstances, your continuous
efforts provide new hope and strength to society.”
