May (HS): A joint team of local police, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Customs
arrested a Nepali citizen on Tuesday at the Kakarhawa check post located on the
India-Nepal border in Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Eighteen fake
passports were recovered from him. Kakarhawa check post in-charge Pradeep Kumar
Singh said that a joint team of local police, Sashastra Seema Bal and Customs
unit Kakarhawa arrested a Nepali citizen from the Kakarhawa check post. During
interrogation, he told his name as Jalandhar Dhami, resident of village Haripur
in Sar Lai district of Nepal. During the search, the team recovered 16 Bangladeshi
and two Nepali fake passports from him. The Nepali citizen is being
interrogated after informing the higher authorities in the matter.
