Guwahati, 12 May (HS): Ahead of taking oath as Chief Minister of Assam for a second consecutive term under the NDA government, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday offered prayers and sought blessings from Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev.

Sharing a message on social media platform X before the swearing-in ceremony, Sarma expressed hope that the state would continue progressing on the path of peace, development and prosperity under the new government.

He stated that the blessings of Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev would guide Assam towards greater progress and bring prosperity to the lives of the people across the state.

“May the blessings of Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev illuminate the lives of everyone in Assam and open new pathways to peace, progress and prosperity. Assam will scale new heights of development in the coming days with their blessings,” Sarma wrote on X.------------
