(HS): Following appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi relating to saving fuel.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed his ministers to seek
prior permission before opting for air travel. The ministers will have to seek
written permission from the Chief Minister.
Revenue Minister
Chandrashekhar Bawankule informed the media about the direction issued by the
CM. He said that many issues can be sorted out through video conferencing. The
ministers will have to seek permission for air travel in case of emergencies.
Besides
Bawankule, Nitesh Rane and Ashish Shelar have also informed officers of his
department about the order.
The decision has
been taken due to fuel crisis following war involving Iran, Israel and America.
Many other
decisions have been taken as a preventive measure to avoid any problem in the
near future.
