Guwahati, 12 May (HS): Chief ministers from Bihar, Delhi and Goa visited the revered Kamakhya Temple on Tuesday ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Assam’s new government in Guwahati.

Samrat Choudhary offered prayers at the temple after arriving in the city to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the new Assam government. He sought blessings from Goddess Kamakhya before participating in the official programme.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also visited the sacred shrine and prayed at the temple during her visit to Guwahati for the swearing-in event.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant too paid obeisance at the Kamakhya temple and sought blessings from the deity after reaching Guwahati to attend the ceremony. It has been informed that several other VIPs also visited to the Kamakhya Temple today.
