Guwahati, 12 May (HS): Asom Gana Parishad president Atul Bora on Tuesday expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister-designate Himanta Biswa Sarma after being reinducted into the NDA government as a cabinet minister.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Bora said the confidence reposed in him by Sarma had given him renewed motivation and strength to continue serving the people of Assam with dedication and sincerity. He stated that the responsibility entrusted to him would inspire him to work with greater commitment for the welfare and progress of the state.

Calling May 12 a historic and emotional occasion for Assam, Bora said the oath-taking ceremony marked the beginning of another important chapter for the state under Sarma’s leadership. He expressed confidence that Assam would continue moving forward on the path of peace, development and prosperity under the new NDA government.

Praising Sarma’s leadership, Bora said the chief minister’s visionary approach, administrative dynamism and commitment to public welfare had accelerated Assam’s development in recent years.

Bora also termed it an honour to take oath as a minister in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior NDA leaders arriving from different parts of the country for the ceremony.

Besides Bora, leaders including Rameswar Teli, Charan Boro and Ajanta Neog are also scheduled to take oath as ministers in the new Assam cabinet.

The AGP leader further congratulated Ranjeet Kumar Dass on being nominated for the post of Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.

Thanking NDA workers, supporters and the people of Assam for their continued trust and encouragement, Bora said their blessings had strengthened his determination to contribute towards building a stronger and self-reliant Assam. He added that the NDA government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi and Himanta Biswa Sarma, would continue working collectively for the state’s brighter future.-----------
