Lucknow, 11 May
(HS): On National Technology Day (May 11, 2026), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath sent a letter asking young to embrace innovation, artificial
intelligence (AI), and new technologies in order to develop a self-reliant
Uttar Pradesh, citing 2026 as a critical year for the state to become a
worldwide AI and digital economy powerhouse.
CM Yogi
advised kids to learn new technologies, embrace innovation, and stay up with
the times. The objective is to establish UP as India's Deep Tech Capital,
including advances in AI, drones, quantum computing, and green hydrogen. The
government plans to teach 2.5 million young people in new technology.
Highlights include a Rs. 3,700 crore semiconductor facility in Jewar and five
operating hyperscale data center parks. The letter serves as a road plan for
the state's transformation into a high-tech manufacturing and AI powerhouse, encouraging
active youth engagement.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “My esteemed fellow
citizens of the state, technology is not merely a means of development, but a
strong foundation for self-reliance. The state government is moving forward on
this very mantra. My young companions, technology is like time itself. Not keeping
pace with technology is to lag behind time. Walking hand in hand with
technology means advancing toward a robust present and a golden future. Learn
the latest technologies, embrace innovation, and play an active role in
building a self-reliant state.”
