Nashik, 11 May (HS): The accused in the sexual

exploitation and religious conversions case in TCS, Nashik, Nida Khan has been

sentenced to 14-day magisterial custody. After the Nashik District Court

verdict, she has been shifted to Nashik Road Central Jail.

Based on information given by Nida Khan, the Special

Investigation Team started interrogating more accused. The SIT is planning to

seek custody of Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar and interrogate all the three

together. The SIT is searching for the links of the case, even at international

level and possibility of funding for the actions.

The SIT is trying to connect 171 digital links and

financial transactions. Nida Khan was eluding arrest since March 26, when the

racket was exposed and some officers arrested. Nashik’s Corporator and AIMIM

leader Matin Majid Patel who offered an apartment to Nida Khan, was not her

relative.

Investigation also revealed that Nida Khan tried to

change the identity of a victim from Devlali area. The original name was

changed to ‘Haniya’. Nida was imparting religious training at her house and was

forcing her to use apparel prescribed by the specific religion.
