Guwahati, 11 May (HS): Ahead of the formation of the new Assam government, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday unveiled a major youth-focused initiative under the NDA 3.0 vision, promising entrepreneurship assistance of ₹5 lakh each to 10 lakh young people across the state.

Announcing the plan through a post on X, Sarma said the initiative is designed to strengthen the vision of an “Atmanirbhar Assam” by encouraging self-employment, promoting local enterprise and generating new economic opportunities for the youth.

Emphasising the government’s commitment towards aspiring entrepreneurs, the Chief Minister stated that building a better future for the younger generation remains a mission rather than merely an electoral promise. He added that the NDA government would continue to stand beside dreamers and job creators across Assam.

The announcement assumes significance as preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Assam government on May 12. Sarma is set to take oath along with the new NDA cabinet in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several senior leaders from across the country.------------
