Amroha, 11 May (HS): An official

stated on Monday that a mom and other family members hired a contract assassin

to kill their son for his involvement in illegal activities and frequent

assaults on relatives. Dushyant, 32, a resident of Nasirpur village in the

Didauli area, was discovered on May 9 in a dry canal in the forest area near

Shyampur village, according to police, and his corpse was taken for a

post-mortem. A case was opened when the victim's father, Pritam Singh, filed a

complaint alleging that his son had been murdered by unidentified individuals,

according to authorities. During the inquiry, investigators reportedly

discovered the involvement of the victim's own family members, including his

mother, in the murder scheme.

According to

authorities, Dushyant had a criminal record and had multiple complaints filed

against him. He was addicted to alcohol and routinely attacked and battered his

parents, brother, sister-in-law, and other relatives, leaving the family

members profoundly worried, according to authorities. According to Additional

Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Bhadauriya, the victim's father, Pritam

Singh, brother Sankit, and mother, Maya Devi, reportedly planned to kill him. According

to Bhadauriya, the accused family members mortgaged household jewels with an

Amroha jeweler and arranged for Rs 55,000 in advance payment to a contract

assassin known as Jogendra alias Jolly for carrying out the murder. Police said

that the family allegedly offered an extra payment of Rs 5 lakh following the murder.

According to cops, on the night of May 8, Sankit,

contract assassin Jogendra alias Jolly, and two unnamed accomplices reportedly

murdered Dushyant and then buried his body in a dry canal near Shyampur hamlet.

According to the police, the case was solved using solid evidence and modern

technology. During prolonged interrogation, the victim's father, Pritam Singh,

and brother, Sankit, reportedly admitted to their involvement in the plan,

after which both were detained and imprisoned on Monday, officials claimed. According

to police, the victim's mother, Maya Devi, alleged contract murderer Jogendra

alias Jolly, a Dhela Nagla village resident, and two unnamed suspects are on

the run. Police are working to track down and arrest the other offenders.
