Five Bangladeshi women held from Pune’s Budhwarpeth


Pune, 11 May (HS): In

another raid in Pune’s Budhwarpeth, police arrested five women from the red-light

area. All are natives of Bangladesh. Farasklhana Police Station has registered

an offence against them for illegal stay in India after the raid was carried

out on Sunday night.

In a raid last week the police had arrested 15

people, including some Bangladeshi women from the same area of Pune. A Deputy

Commissioner of Police in the circle said that documents related to their

Bangladesh connection were seized. The admitted to involvement in the flesh

trade voluntarily.

Senior Police Inspector Prashant Bhasme conducted

the raid, under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Rajesh Bansode,

Deputy Commissioner Krushikesh Raole, and Assistant Commissioner Anuja

Deshmane.
