Moradabad,
10 May (HS): Moradabad's stature
has once again risen in Uttar Pradesh BJP politics. Outgoing BJP state
president and Legislative Council member Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh has once
again been appointed a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. Eight people,
including Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, were sworn in as ministers and ministers
of state on Sunday at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow. This includes two cabinet
ministers, two independent ministers, and two ministers of state.
Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary began his
political career with the BJP in 1991. He subsequently became a department
coordinator for the BJP. In 1999, he contested the Sambhal Lok Sabha seat on
the lotus symbol against SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. He lost the election.
In 2009, the BJP central leadership fielded him in the by-election from the
West Assembly constituency of Moradabad district, where he also lost.
Subsequently, Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh held the positions of Regional Minister
and Regional President of the BJP's Western Region, strengthening the
organization in Western Uttar Pradesh. In 2016, the BJP nominated Chaudhary for
MLC, and after the BJP formed a full-majority government in 2017, he was
appointed Minister of State and Minister of State with Independent Charge. In
2022, Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh's stature rose again in the Yogi 2.0
government, becoming Cabinet Minister of Panchayati Raj. After this, the work
of Bhupendra Singh's department in making the open defecation free campaign
successful was very commendable, for which he received an honour from the Prime
Minister.
In August 2022, Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh
was appointed to the BJP's Uttar Pradesh leadership. He served as state
president until December 2025. Under Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh's leadership,
the BJP achieved a resounding victory in the local body elections and
by-elections. However, due to the alliance between the Samajwadi Party and the
Congress in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the central leadership in Uttar
Pradesh failed to secure the desired number of seats. Taking responsibility for
this, Bhupendra Singh offered his resignation. However, the central leadership
maintained its confidence in Chaudhary and urged him to continue leading the organization.
Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh is a grassroots
worker. Despite holding positions such as district president, department
coordinator, regional minister, regional president, and state president, he
remains among everyone as an equal worker. His re-election as a cabinet
minister will further accelerate development work in the Moradabad division.
Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh remains a role model for Moradabad's workers and
officials.
During Bhupendra Singh's tenure, the BJP
added 26 million primary members: During the tenure of Chaudhary Bhupendra
Singh, former state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar
Pradesh, the BJP added 26 million primary members. This is 7.4 million more
than in 2019. This increase in the number of primary members is history for the
Uttar Pradesh BJP.
