Chennai, 10 May (H.S.):Actor Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday following his party’s historic electoral victory, and while the grand ceremony at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium witnessed the presence of several political leaders and film personalities, actor Trisha Krishnan emerged as one of the biggest attractions of the event.

Dressed elegantly in an aqua blue saree, Trisha arrived at the swearing-in venue amid huge media attention. The actress, who is considered one of Vijay’s closest friends in the film industry, drew the attention of fans and photographers as she made her way into the stadium where thousands had gathered to witness the historic political moment.

Speaking briefly to reporters while leaving her residence in Chennai before the ceremony, Trisha described the day as a “big moment” for Tamil Nadu and said she was looking ahead with “great hope and positivity.” Her remarks quickly went viral on social media, with fans widely sharing videos and photographs from her arrival.

Several members of Vijay’s family, close associates, and long-time friends from the cinema industry attended the ceremony, which marked the beginning of a new political chapter in Tamil Nadu. Vijay took oath as Chief Minister in the presence of senior national and regional leaders, alongside members of his council of ministers.

Trisha has openly expressed support for Vijay in recent weeks. Soon after the election results were announced, she had visited Vijay’s residence personally to congratulate him on the landmark victory. Her visit had sparked widespread discussion among fans and political observers alike.

Earlier, on the day the election results were declared, Trisha had also visited the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. The actress was seen wearing a shawl in the colours of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) flag, further fuelling speculation about her support for Vijay and his political journey.

She had also publicly indicated her support for Vijay on polling day, making her presence at Sunday’s ceremony one of the most talked-about moments outside the political developments themselves.
