(HS): Dr. Prashant Kumar, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service
Selection Commission, informed that the written examination of the Lecturer
cadre against advertisement number 02/2022, conducted by the Commission, was
successfully completed on Sunday, at various examination centres in the state.
The examination was held in two shifts. In the first shift, the examination of
Civics, Mathematics, Economics, Sanskrit and Psychology subjects was conducted
and in the second shift, the examination of Chemistry, Geography, Hindi and
Arts subjects was conducted. The first shift examination was conducted from
09:30 am to 11:30 am and the second shift examination was conducted from 02:30
pm to 04:30 pm.
Dr. Prashant Kumar stated that the examination was
conducted at the Commission's designated examination centers in a completely
transparent, cheating-free, and well-organized environment. During the
examination, all examination centers were continuously monitored from the AI
Integrated Control Command Room established at the Commission. In the
presence of the Commission's Chairman, Members, Secretary, Controller of
Examinations, and Deputy Secretary, the activities of the candidates were
continuously monitored through AI cameras installed at the examination centers.
He informed that with the aim of making
technological innovation and transparency more effective, the Commission, under
a pilot project, immediately after the completion of the examination at
selected examination centres in Lucknow district, scanned the OMR answer sheets
used by the candidates in the examination hall itself. The scanning process was
completed in the presence of the candidates and the process of immediately
saving the scanned data was also ensured. The entire process was also monitored
from the Commission's AI Integrated Control Command Room.
The Commission
Chairman informed that a total of 89,766 (38.04 percent) candidates appeared
for the written examination held on May 9, 2026, with female candidates'
attendance at 34.89 percent and male candidates' attendance at 42.26 percent. A
total of 1,03,168 (45.12 percent) candidates appeared for the written
examination held on May 10, 2026, with female candidates' attendance at 41.92
percent and male candidates' attendance at 48.08 percent. Thus, a total of
1,92,934 (41.53 percent) candidates appeared for the written examination held
on May 9 and 10, 2026. Dr. Prashant Kumar commended the cooperation of the
concerned district administration and police administration for the successful
conduct of the examination and expressed his gratitude to all the candidates,
centre administrators, and administrative officials.
