
Mumbai, 09 Apr (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis has assured enquiry into the religious conversion and sexual
exploitation of women employees by senior officers in an IT Company in Nashik,
and stern action against those involved in it. He said that a Special Investigation
Team (SIT) has been constituted to enquire into the cases registered at Mumbai
Naka Police Station in Nashik.
Nashik Police Commissioner Sandip Karnik informed
the media that eight complaints have been received by the police. Six accused
have been arrested in this connection. Since 2022 senior officers have been
using abusive language against Hindus, molesting women employees, and a woman
employee has complained of sexual exploitation.
The SIT under ACP Sandip Mitke is investigating into
the cases.
