
Nagaon (Assam), April 09 (HS): A violent clash broke out at a polling station under the Dhing assembly constituency on Thursday, creating tension during the ongoing voting process.
According to reports, the incident took place at polling station number 166 in Barbheti Panchayat, where supporters of Raijor Dal and AIUDF were involved in a fierce scuffle. The situation escalated into a major confrontation between the two groups.
The clash reportedly erupted over a dispute related to standing in queue for casting votes. What began as an argument soon turned into a physical altercation, leading to chaos at the polling centre.
Security personnel later intervened to bring the situation under control and restore normalcy, allowing the voting process to resume.---------------
