New Delhi, 07 April (H.S.):

On World Health Day, Union Health Minister JP Nadda urged people across India to stay vigilant about their health and adopt balanced lifestyles. In a message shared on X today, he described India's healthcare system as a prime example of harmonizing traditional wisdom with modern medicine, contributing to better lives both domestically and globally.

Nadda highlighted transformative changes in the health sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Initiatives like Ayushman Bharat and the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana have made treatment more accessible and affordable for the poor and needy, benefiting millions nationwide.

He commended the contributions of doctors, nurses, and frontline health workers, crediting their dedication for strengthening the country's health infrastructure. Nadda called for collaborative efforts from government and society to build a healthier, more robust India.

Notably, World Health Day is observed annually on April 7 to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948. The day aims to raise global awareness about health issues and promote improved healthcare services worldwide.
