Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on World Health Day, reaffirming his commitment to constructing a healthy society. He expressed profound gratitude to all those who tirelessly serve others and work towards a healthier planet.

The Prime Minister emphasized that healthy citizens are essential for a strong and robust nation. Urging collective efforts in this direction, he stressed prioritizing the well-being of every individual and the need for sustained action at every level to make India healthier.

In a message on X, PM Modi inspired citizens to stay physically active. Wishing everyone optimal health, he stated that every person must make every possible effort to maintain their well-being.

On this occasion, he shared a Sanskrit subhashita highlighting the importance of physical exercise: “लघुं कर्मसामर्थ्यं दीप्तोऽग्निर्मेदसः क्षयः। विभक्तघनगात्रत्वं व्यायामदुपजायते॥” Through this shloka, PM Modi explained that regular exercise enhances work capacity, improves digestion, reduces fat, and builds a strong, well-proportioned body.
