New Delhi, 07 April (H.S.):

On the occasion of Baisakhi, Pakistan has granted visas to more than 2,800 Indian pilgrims this year.

The Pakistani High Commission in Delhi announced on Tuesday that over 2,800 visas have been issued to pilgrims from India for the Baisakhi festival, enabling their participation in the annual religious ceremonies scheduled in Pakistan from April 10 to 19, 2026.

Notably, every year on the sacred occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas—marking the birth of the Khalsa—groups of Sikh devotees from India travel to historic gurdwaras in Pakistan for darshan. These pilgrimages are organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), which coordinates the devotees' travel and logistical arrangements.
