Lucknow,

6 April (HS): On April 6, 2026, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

commemorated the 47th BJP Foundation Day by raising the party flag at

Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur. He praised workers and described the party as

an instrument for Antyodaya to Rashtrodaya (upliftment to

nation-building) under PM Modi, underlining the party's ideological evolution

from Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee to the present. At the Gorakhpur Temple

grounds, CM Yogi raised the BJP flag, spoke with party workers, and took pictures.

He highlighted that the BJP's path is not just about power, but also about

sanskar (values and ideas). He praised karyakartas for their

selfless efforts in advancing the goal of a developed and self-sufficient India

(Viksit Bharat - Atmanirbhar Bharat).

He

acknowledged the efforts of party founders and stalwarts such as Dr. Syama

Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He

commented on the party's evolution from a modest organization to the world's

largest, emphasizing the welfare of the people. The 6th of April is the formal

establishment day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is regularly marked by

large celebrations throughout Uttar Pradesh and India.

Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned in a post on X, “Heartiest

congratulations to all the dedicated workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the

world's largest political party, on its foundation day. @BJP4India is not just

a political structure, but a vibrant tradition of thought, nurtured by the

lofty democratic ideals and virtuous Sanatan values of revered Pandit

Deendayal Upadhyaya, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, and 'Bharat Ratna' revered

Atal ji. This nationalist family, imbued with the spirit of Nation First, has

today become a huge banyan tree, constantly empowering the hopes and

aspirations of 1.45 billion citizens with a resolve of service, culture, and

dedication. This development journey of the BJP is not about power, but about

culture. It is not about expansion, but about thought. The pledge of 'Rashtra

Udaya from Antyodaya' has been accomplished. The loyalty, consistency, and

selflessness of every worker have accelerated the resolve of 'Developed India -

Self-reliant India.' Congratulations to all the eminent personalities

participating in this journey of nation-building.”
