Lucknow,

6 April (HS): Young people in Uttar Pradesh have made a name for themselves by

developing advanced drone technology. A Lucknow-based startup's drone features

long range, AI systems, and low cost. It's capable of both surveillance and

attack, propelling the state's rapid advancement in defense and technology.

Uttar

Pradesh, once notorious for illegal weapons and guns, is now

forging a new identity. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,

the state is rapidly emerging as a defense manufacturing and startup hub. This

transformation was evident in the capital, Lucknow, where a private startup has

developed cutting-edge drone technology. This demonstrates that the impact of

Yogi Adityanath's vision and policies is being felt on the ground. Where once a

region marked by crime, a new era of defense technology and startups is now

taking shape.

Hoverit,

a company founded by three young entrepreneurs—Pawan, Ravindra Pal Singh, and

Saurabh Singh—has developed an advanced UAV called Divyastra MK-1.

This drone, developed keeping in mind the needs of modern warfare, is capable

of both surveillance and precision strikes. Its key features include its

500-kilometer range, approximately 5-hour flight time, and AI-based targeting

system. It can fly up to 10,000 feet, carry a payload of up to 15 kilograms, and

engage targets with pinpoint accuracy. It is also said to be significantly

cheaper than other market options.

The

company is also working on the “MK-2” version: The startup's founders say that

improved state policies and initiatives like the Defense Corridor allowed them

to grow rapidly. This is why the company is now working to supply drones to the

Indian Army and has already received initial orders.

In

the future, the company is also working on the MK-2 version, which

could have a range of 2,000 kilometers and a payload capacity of up to 80

kilograms. A new manufacturing unit is being established in the Uttar Pradesh

Defense Corridor, with a target production of 20 drones per month.

Not

only this, the company has developed many types of drones and UAVs for the

defence sector, which include “Aankh” drone for surveillance, “Baz” drone

carrying payload up to 20 kg, shell (bomb) dropping drones, VTOL UAVs (which fly

without runway).

In

addition, the company is also developing decoy drones (to confuse the enemy)

and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Recon) UAVs, making it clear that this

startup is developing not just a single drone but a complete drone system for surveillance,

supply, and strike. It's noteworthy that technology has become a decisive

factor in wars. In such a scenario, this innovation developed by the youth of

Uttar Pradesh not only reflects the state's transformed image but also

strengthens the nation's security.
