Bhubaneswar, 06 April (H.S.): The convocation ceremony of the 9th batch of DSP probationers was held at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy on Monday morning, marking the successful completion of their foundational training.

Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania attended the event as the Chief Guest and took the ceremonial salute during the parade. A total of five DSP probationers from the ninth batch successfully completed their training and participated in the ceremony.

Addressing the newly inducted officers, the DGP congratulated them and urged them to dedicate themselves to public service as a strong and responsible force within the Odisha Police. He emphasized that the high-quality training imparted at the academy would help shape them into competent, disciplined, and professional officers.

Highlighting future challenges, he advised the officers to tackle cybercrime, organized crime, and other emerging threats with courage and integrity. He also spoke about various initiatives undertaken by the state government to modernize and strengthen the police force, including the creation of new posts, recruitment drives, and expansion of specialized units such as OSSF, OISF, and ODRAF, along with improved traffic management systems.
