
Varanasi, April 28 (HS): Prime
Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in Varanasi on Tuesday for a two-day visit.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin and Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi this afternoon to welcome
Prime Minister Modi. On his first visit to Varanasi, BJP National President Nabin
was welcomed at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Babatpur by
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
BJP national president was given a grand welcome on his arrival. Chief
Minister Yogi presented him with a bouquet of flowers. Other leaders who
welcomed the BJP president at the airport included state president Pankaj
Chaudhary, organization general secretary Dharampal Singh, deputy chief
ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, regional president Dilip
Patel, district president and MLC Hansraj Vishwakarma, cabinet minister Anil
Rajbhar, minister Ravindra Jaiswal, minister Dr Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu,
mayor Ashok Tiwari, district panchayat president Poonam Maurya, MLA Dr
Neelkanth Tiwari, MLA Saurabh Srivastava, MLA Awadhesh Singh, MLA Tribhuvan
Ram, Legislative Council member Dharmendra Singh, etc.
Meanwhile, ahead of Prime Minister Modi's arrival, Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport
in Babatpur, Varanasi, at 11:20 a.m. The Chief Minister spent some time in the
airport's VIP lounge, receiving information from officials about preparations
for the Prime Minister's program, and gave them necessary instructions.
Following this, Uttar Pradesh
Governor Anandiben Patel also arrived at Varanasi Airport. From the airport,
she departed for the city by road. After a brief stay at the Circuit House, the
Governor will proceed to the Bareka event venue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi
will address the Jan Akrosh Mahila Sammelan being held at Bareka after arriving
in Varanasi. He may also hold a meeting with the BJP President and other
leaders regarding the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections later in
evening.
