Guwahati, 26 April (HS): New developments have surfaced in the case of Bhawna Sharma’s disappearance, with police intensifying their investigation and conducting multiple raids in the city.

According to sources, a team from Jalukbari Police carried out a search operation at the residence of Bhawna Sharma’s alleged boyfriend, Niharjyoti Sharma, as part of the ongoing probe.

Simultaneously, another police team conducted a raid at a residence located in Hatigaon, further expanding the scope of the investigation to trace the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Meanwhile, allegations have also been raised against Niharjyoti Sharma, accusing him of subjecting Bhawna Sharma to mental harassment. Police officials are examining these claims as part of the case and further investigation is underway.

Notably, on Friday morning, teacher Bhavna Sharma went missing while she was on her way to school, shortly after sending a message to her mother stating, I am in danger. Later, on Saturday morning, she was found weeping outside a hotel near the Polo Ground in Shillong. The Guwahati Police brought Bhavna Sharma back from Shillong to Guwahati on Saturday evening. She is currently being interrogated.----------
