Guwahati, 26 April (HS): In the wake of the tragic accident involving Nishamani Haloi, the Bihu Suraksha Samiti has issued an appeal to all Bihu committees to conclude their cultural programmes before midnight.

The organisation stressed that late-night celebrations increase the risk of untoward incidents and called for greater responsibility from organisers to ensure public safety during the festive season.

Following the incident, the Samiti has urged all Bihu committees across the state to wrap up events by 12 midnight and strictly adhere to safety measures.

The Bihu Suraksha Samiti has also appealed to the administration to step in and enforce necessary guidelines to prevent such unfortunate occurrences in the future.------------
