
Hooghly, 24 April (H.S.): With the Assembly elections approaching, political activities have intensified across West Bengal. In Khanakul, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a major show of strength with a large public rally held on Friday in support of its candidate Sushanta Ghosh.
The rally was attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who addressed party workers and supporters. According to party sources, large crowds gathered at the venue from early morning, with BJP supporters arriving in processions from different areas.
Addressing the gathering, Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a sharp attack on the ruling party in the state and highlighted various development initiatives undertaken by the central government. He urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for BJP candidate Sushanta Ghosh.
Speaking at the rally, Sushanta Ghosh also assured the public of addressing local issues and appealed for their support in the upcoming elections.
The rally has generated considerable political buzz in Khanakul, with observers suggesting that such events could energize the BJP’s organizational base ahead of
the polls.
