Prayagraj, April 23

(HS): The results of the 2026 High School and Intermediate Examinations

conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) were

announced by Dr. Mahendra Dev, Director-Chairman of Secondary Education, and

Bhagwati Singh, Secretary of the UP Board, at the board headquarters on

Thursday at 4 p.m. They stated that a total of 90.42 percent of students passed

in high school and 80.38 percent in intermediate. Kashish Verma from Sitapur

topped the 10th grade, while Shikha Verma, also from Sitapur, topped the

intermediate grade.

The Director stated that the high school and

intermediate examinations were held from February 18th to March 12th at a total

of 8,033 examination centers. This year, 53,37,773 candidates registered for

high school and intermediate exams. Of these, 26,01,381 students appeared for the

10th grade exam and 24,86,072 for the 12th grade.

The UP Board evaluated answer sheets at 254 centers

between March 18 and April 4. The UP Board Secretary said that 13,43,524 boys

and 12,57,857 girls appeared for the high school exam. Of these, 11,72,862 boys

and 11,79,319 girls passed. The pass percentage for boys is 87.30 percent and

for girls is 93.76 percent. A total of 92,594 examiners evaluated the high

school answer sheets.

Similarly, a total

of 24,86,072 candidates appeared for the Intermediate exam, including 13,09,397

boys and 11,76,675 girls. The pass percentage for boys was 75.04 percent and

for girls it was 86.32 percent. Intermediate answer sheets were evaluated in

two phases by 55,973 examiners.
