Nagpur, 23 Apr (HS):

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has appointed film

stars Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh as its Brand Ambassador. The

appointment comes as a part of MSRTC’s campaign aimed at generating awareness

about road safety.

The announcement was

made during a function on Wednesday in Mumbai, in the presence of Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Transport

Minister Pratap Sarnaik, who is also chairman of MSRTC, stressed the importance

of effective communication the campaign relating to road safety.

Retiesh recalled his

experience while travelling with his father ex-CM late Vilasrao Deshmukh, and

said, “I am committed to the progress of the state transport. My priority will

be to send a clear message about refraining from drinking while driving”.

is expected to enhance efforts relating to The MSRTC’s Road Safety Campaign
