Tinsukia (Assam), 23 April (HS): A labour inspector was caught allegedly stealing a ring from a jewellery shop in Moran after the incident was captured on CCTV, officials said.

The accused, identified as Dr. Monsum Kashyap, reportedly visited Usha Jewellers posing as a customer to purchase ornaments. During the visit, he allegedly stole a ring from the shop.

The theft came to light when the shop owner reviewed CCTV footage and detected the suspicious act. Following this, the matter was brought to notice, leading to the identification of the accused. Further investigation into the incident is underway.-----------
