23 (HS): A family of three, including a 7-year-old daughter, died after their

motorbike was hit head on by a trailer here on Thursday, according to

authorities. According to authorities, the incident occurred on the

Maharajganj-Nichlaul state highway near Baluhighush hamlet as the couple was

driving their unwell daughter to the hospital. The trailer drove over the lady,

Saleha Khatoon, 25, and her daughter, Shahzadi, 7, while her husband, Naushad,

28, was flung several feet away, according to authorities.

Police arrived on the scene and transported the

family to the hospital, where they were confirmed dead. Siddharth, the

Additional Superintendent of Police, said that the remains had been sent for

post-mortem examination. At first inspection, the incident appeared to be

caused by excessive speed. The trailer driver has been detained, and an inquiry

is ongoing, he stated.
