(HS): Controversy erupted following visit of former Chief Justice of India

Bhushan Gavai’s visit to Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur district in Madhya

Pradesh. Gavai visted along with his family members and met Bageshwar Baba

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, who has been in criticism for his ‘Darbar’ and

public speeches.

The photograph

of Gavai has become viral on social media leading to controversy. Son of

staunch follower of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar late R S Gavai, Justice Gavai is in

discussion over the message to the society due to his visit. The Andhadhraddha

Nirmoolan Samiti had also challenged Bageshwar Baba for his alleged

‘Chamatkars’ (magic).

Renowned lawyer

and social worker Prashant Bhushan has called Gavai’s visit as ‘unbelievable’

and said ‘what kind of message Gavai wants to give to the society?. His visit

is in violation of ethics of the judicial officers of his rank. Prashant

Bhushan has called Dhirendra Shastri a person who is spreading hatred.
