Bhubaneswar, 02 April (H.S.): Hot and humid conditions are continuing across several parts of Odisha, particularly in the interior districts, while coastal areas are experiencing relatively milder weather.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperature variations have been observed across the state in recent days, creating a noticeable contrast between interior and coastal regions. Inland districts are witnessing rising heat levels, whereas coastal belts remain comparatively less affected.

The weather department has issued a “hot and humid” warning for the state, indicating that such conditions are likely to persist over the next three days.

However, the weather is expected to change from April 5 onwards. The IMD has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall in several areas of the state. Some places in the affected districts may experience rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.

Wind speeds during these weather events are likely to reach 30 to 40 km per hour. The forecast indicates a transitional phase in the state’s weather pattern, with a mix of heat, thunderstorms, and rainfall expected in the coming days.
