Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Colombo on Sunday for a significant two-day official visit to Sri Lanka, marking his first bilateral trip to the island nation.
The Ministry of External Affairs noted a grand traditional reception at the airport, featuring Sri Lanka's iconic Kandyan dance, symbolizing the profound cultural affinities between the two countries.
High-Level Engagements
Radhakrishnan will hold summit-level talks with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, and other top leaders. He will also inaugurate the third phase of India-assisted Indian Housing Project homes for the Tamil community.
The Vice President, of Indian Tamil origin, plans dialogues with Tamil leaders from northern and eastern provinces, besides addressing Indian expatriates in Colombo—fortifying millennia-old civilizational and people-to-people bonds.
