Lucknow, April 18 (HS): Bharatiya

Janata Party (BJP) leader and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad

Maurya said that by voting against the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok

Sabha, the Congress and Samajwadi Party have clearly stated that they do not

want women's reservation in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. These parties

are trapped in patriarchal thinking and do not want women to participate

equally in the nation's welfare. However, these parties should understand

clearly that the BJP is committed to women's reservation and will implement it.

The Deputy Chief Minister wrote on his social media account, The SP

and Congress should better understand that the anger of women power will cost

both anti-women parties dearly in the coming years. There's no doubt that

Congress will be halved in 2029, and the SP will be wiped out in UP in 2027.

Mungerilal's sweet dreams have now become SP Bahadur's sweet dreams, which will

never be fulfilled under any circumstances.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh

Pathak said on Saturday that the Congress, TMC, and Samajwadi Party prevented

the passage of the Constitution Amendment Bill, the Nari Shakti Vandan

Act, in the Lok Sabha. The opposition has betrayed half the country's

population, approximately 700 million women. The decision to defeat the bill

granting 33 percent reservation to women is highly condemnable. The opposition

will have to face the wrath of women not only in the 2029 Lok Sabha

elections, but at every level, in every election, and in every place. Our campaign

to respect women will continue, and we will not rest until we give them their

rights.
