Tinsukia (Assam), 18 April (HS): Two youths lost their lives in a horrific road accident that took place late at night at Lajum in Kakopathar, triggering strong public outrage in the area.

The deceased have been identified as Pranjit Das and Shashanka Moran, both residents of Kakopathar. According to initial reports, the accident occurred under unclear circumstances, leading to their on-the-spot deaths.

Following the incident, local youths staged a protest at Kakopathar Thana Chariali, burning tyres and demanding a thorough investigation into the accident. The protesters also called for strict punishment against those responsible.

Tension prevailed in the area for some time as demonstrators expressed anger over the incident, urging authorities to ensure justice for the victims.------------
