Lucknow, April 18 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is
holding rallies in the West Bengal seats of Mathabhanga (Cooch Behar) and
Dhupguri (Jalpaiguri) to promote BJP candidates. He is advocating the
double-engine government concept, blaming the ruling TMC for
claimed mafia raj, and will later hold a roadshow in Bankura.
Mathabhanga Rally: Around noon, supporters of BJP candidate Nisith Pramanik
will gather.
Dhupguri Rally: 1:20 PM, to support BJP candidate Naresh Chandra Roy.
Context: These rallies are part of
the heavy campaigning for the West Bengal assembly elections, which will be
held in parts on April 23 and April 29.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “West
Bengal is gripped by the sand mafia, coal mafia, land mafia, and cattle mafia,
all thriving under the patronage of the TMC government. The conscious people
here know that there is only one solution to all this: a double-engine BJP
government. To further strengthen this sentiment and trust, I will communicate
with the public today through public meetings in the Mathabhanga and Dhupguri
assembly constituencies and a road show in the Bankura assembly constituency.”
