Guwahati, 18 April (HS): Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia on Saturday expressed confidence that the BJP-led alliance will form the government for a third consecutive term, asserting that the coalition will not fall below 90 seats in the upcoming results.

Saikia claimed that the BJP alliance is set to achieve a “historic mandate” when the results are declared on May 4, adding that there is also a strong possibility of the tally crossing into triple digits.

He attributed the expected performance to what he described as one-sided voting in favour of the alliance by women, youth and people across all sections of society.

Highlighting the momentum of the NDA, Saikia said the alliance is heading towards a “landmark victory,” reiterating that the seat count will remain well above 90 and could even exceed 100.----------
