Bhubaneswar, 17 April (H.S.) : Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik paid heartfelt tributes to legendary leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on his death anniversary.

In a message shared on social media, Naveen Patnaik described Biju Patnaik as a towering figure and the pride of Odisha, recalling his significant contribution to India’s freedom struggle. He highlighted that Biju Patnaik played a crucial role in empowering people and strengthening the Panchayati Raj system in the state.

Patnaik further noted that Biju Patnaik’s contributions were unparalleled in promoting women’s reservation in politics, advancing industrial development, and safeguarding Odia pride and identity.

He added that inspired by Biju Patnaik’s ideals and principles, the Biju Janata Dal remains committed to serving the people and soil of Odisha.
