Kolkata, 17 April (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to former President of India Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his death anniversary on Friday through a post on social media platform X.

In her message, Mamata Banerjee wrote, “Tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, our former President, on his death anniversary.” She remembered his immense contributions to education, philosophy, and nation-building, stating that his legacy continues to inspire generations.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was not only a distinguished philosopher and teacher but also served the nation as its President with great dignity. His thoughts and teachings remain highly influential even today.

Dr. Radhakrishnan was the second President of India and is widely respected across the world for his contributions to philosophy. His birth anniversary, September 5, is celebrated in India as Teachers’ Day in honor of his invaluable contribution to education.
