Lakhimpur (Assam), 17 April (HS): A vehicle carrying a Husori troupe met with an accident in Assam’s Narayanpur area, leaving at least 20 young Bihu performers injured.

According to reports, the incident occurred last night when the vehicle lost control and veered off the National Highway, plunging off the road. The troupe members were reportedly on their way to perform Husori during the festive season.

All the injured, including several young Bihuwa and Bihuwati performers, sustained varying degrees of injuries. They were immediately rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Local residents and police personnel reached the spot soon after the accident and launched rescue operations. Further details regarding the condition of the injured performers are awaited.----------
