Mandya (Karnataka), 15 April (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Wednesday that India represents a vibrant civilization spanning thousands of years, where the continuity of traditions stands unparalleled globally. He emphasized that few nations sustain such enduring cultural and spiritual legacies over millennia.

The Prime Minister addressed the inauguration ceremony of Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir at Adichunchanagiri Mahasansthan Math in Mandya district, Karnataka. Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda accompanied him, and together they released the book Saundarya Lahari and Shiva Mahimna Stotram.

Prime Minister Modi remarked that Indian society has continually produced great saints and luminaries who offered not only spiritual guidance but also lived among the people, empathizing with their struggles and illuminating paths out of adversity. He affirmed that this embodies India's tradition and core strength.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented nine key resolutions to the nation. He urged citizens to embrace water conservation and commit to superior water management. He appealed for tree plantation under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign to safeguard the environment.

He stressed transforming cleanliness from a mere government initiative into a mass movement. Maintaining hygiene at religious sites, public spaces, villages, and cities remains everyone's responsibility. He advocated adopting 'Vocal for Local' and promoting indigenous products.

Emphasizing domestic tourism, the Prime Minister called upon citizens to explore India's diverse regions to appreciate the nation's multiplicity. He encouraged farmers to transition towards natural farming.

Addressing health, he highlighted obesity as an escalating national challenge. To combat it, he advised reducing oil in diets and incorporating millets (Shri Anna). He underscored integrating yoga and sports into daily life.

In his ninth resolution, the Prime Minister stated that serving the needy fortifies society and imbues life with purpose. He expressed confidence that sincere adherence to these resolutions would swiftly realize the vision of a Developed Karnataka and Developed India.

Praising Adichunchanagiri Math's legacy, the Prime Minister noted it symbolizes nearly 2,000 years of rich heritage. Its guru tradition, spiritual philosophy, and ethos of service have guided generations.

He specially commemorated the late saint Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji's contributions. The Prime Minister highlighted Mahaswamiji's transformative work in education and health, enabling millions of rural and underprivileged children to access schooling through his efforts.

On health contributions, the Prime Minister observed that Mahaswamiji established institutions delivering quality medical care infused with service spirit. He believed healthcare constitutes every citizen's right.

The Prime Minister described Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir not merely as a religious edifice but as a hub of service, penance, and inspiration. The complex uniquely blends spirituality with modern technology.

Referencing central government health schemes, he noted that Ayushman Bharat has provided free treatment to crores of poor citizens. The scheme now extends to senior citizens above 70 years, ensuring dignified healthcare access.

Sharing personal reflections, the Prime Minister conveyed profound spiritual fulfillment from the visit. He characterized darshan at the shrine, the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir inauguration, and saints' company as cherished life moments.

Concluding with blessings for the assembled gathering, the Prime Minister affirmed this sacred site will emerge as a beacon of inspiration and service for society in times ahead.
