Mumbai, 14 Apr (HS): Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata

Group, N Chandrasekaran has assured that the company has taken serious note of

the charges of sexual exploitation, threats and conversion in its Nashik unit.

Chandrasekaran in a statement issued following the

police complaints and police action, stated that the issue is of serious

concern and disturbing. The company is fully cooperating with the police during

investigation. The company also initiated investigate the truth in the charges

and has a policy of zero tolerance on any kind of misdeeds. Chief Operating

Officer Arti Subramanian has been appointed to enquire into the charges and

suggest necessary measures to prevent such incidents.

Several complaints were lodged with the police by

women employees relating to sexual abuse, rape, pressure for conversion. Police

have arrested six officers including the HR Manager of the company.

The women and a man have complained that they

approached police after the higher authorities ignored their complaints.
