Lucknow,
April 14 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Prime Minister
Narendra Modi's forthcoming visit to Saharanpur, as well as the launch of the
Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor, as momentous moments in progress. In a post
on X, Adityanath stated, Today, the land of Saharanpur will witness a
historic moment of development, trust, and connectivity. Prime Minister
Shri @narendramodi ji will today dedicate to the nation the Delhi-Dehradun
Economic Corridor, which connects Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand and
cost Rs 12,000 crore. The chief minister
described the highway as more than simply a road project, but rather a bridge
to the new speed, connectedness, and potential of 'New India'. According to
him, this new route connecting Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will
minimize travel time, expedite industrial activity, and open up new tourism
opportunities.
On
Tuesday, Modi will open the Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor, which would
reduce travel time between the two cities in half. He will also conduct a
wildlife passage evaluation on an elevated part of the Saharanpur High-Speed
Expressway. A 213-kilometre six-lane access-controlled corridor was developed
at a cost of more than Rs 12,000 crore. According to an official release, the
corridor will lower the current travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from
nearly six hours to roughly two and a half hours. Modi will first worship at
the Maa Daat Kali Temple in Dehradun, a major gesture coming just before the
West Bengal Assembly elections. He will next open the Delhi-Dehradun economic
corridor at a public occasion in Dehradun, where he will also address the
audience, according to the release.
