
New Delhi, 13 April (H.S.):
President Droupadi Murmu’s two‑state visit will commence today. She will be in Gujarat on today and tomorrow, and will proceed to Maharashtra on 15–16 April. During this period, she will attend convocation ceremonies and other official functions.
According to the President’s Secretariat, President Murmu will attend the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rajkot today. On 14 April, on the occasion of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, she will participate in the “Samajik Samrasta Mahotsav” (Social Harmony Festival) held at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar. After this, she will grace the fifth convocation ceremony of the National Defence University in Gandhinagar.
The next day, on 15 April, President Murmu will attend the second convocation ceremony of AIIMS Nagpur. Later, she will also be present at the valedictory ceremony of the 78th batch of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) probationary officers at the National Academy of Direct Taxes in Nagpur. On 16 April, the President will attend the sixth convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University in Wardha.
