New Delhi, 13 April (H.S.):

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi asserted on Monday, that the Women's Reservation Act will infuse nation-building with renewed momentum, amplifying women's empowerment and delivering a resounding message on national progress.

Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Nari Shakti Vandan Conclave in Vigyan Bhawan, Devi hailed the Act as epochal and transformative—fruition of maternal struggles, securing women robust footholds in democratic participation and decision-making.

India transcends mere women's development, advancing toward development orchestrated by women. Over the past 11 years, initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Mudra Yojana have rendered women self-reliant, propelling them into leadership vanguard.

Surging Horizons in STEM, Aviation, and Governance

Women's escalating forays into science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), burgeoning female pilots, startup trailblazers, and millions of panchayat representatives delineate a resurgent India. Women now steer not just families but national trajectories; the Act will elevate them to Parliament and assemblies, fortifying democracy.

Devi deemed Nari Shakti pivotal to realizing Developed India 2047, urging women to propel this metamorphosis. Attendees included Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Minister of State Savitri Thakur, and National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, alongside luminaries from diverse domains.
